Second and third language is also equally important is ICSE. Three language formula in ICSE board is an added advantage for global competence.

  • 7. Want to know about approach or Method of teaching at Kindergarten level?
    • In Kindergarten, activity based learning with Montessori method is followed. Learning is enquiry-based and experiential. Children acquire knowledge through a variety of activities as designed by Howard Gardner in his Theory of Multiple Intelligence.
  • 8. What is the Method of teaching at Primary level?
    • In Primary School we focus on conceptual knowledge and the skills of application, analysis and higher order thinking. We also prepare students for examinations of National and International Boards. These give the students an excellent foundation for their higher education.
  • 9. What is the admission procedure?
    • Pre K, LKG and UKG admissions are done on completion of interview.

      Students seeking admissions from 1st standard will write an entrance test. The test is to assess where the child stands and to help the faculties to guide a student in personalised coaching.
  • 10. When does admissions begin?
    • Admissions generally start around December and closes when our seats are filled. We admit only 30 students per class. It is recommended that you visit the campus and familiarize yourself with the Core Purpose of the school.
  • 11. What is a typical interview like?
    • Interviews are held to interact with the child and parent to get to know each other better. We will invite the family for an interaction with the Head of the School. Through this meeting, parents and students can familiarize themselves with the approach of the school and the school Management can understand the student's and parent's expectations better.
  • 12. What are the documents required for admissions?
    • Completed Application Forms to be submitted along with:
      - 2 photographs
      - A copy of your child's Birth Certificate
      - Transfer Certificate, if any
  • 13. How do you assess students?
    • Continuous Assessment facilitates both formative and summative evaluation of a student's progress.

      Formative Assessment is skilled based and continuous. It focuses on application of learning, taking the form of projects, hands-on activities, presentations, working sheets etc.

      Summative Assessments are paper based tests that evaluate larger units or concept clusters. They take the form of unit reviews, as well as semester exams.

      The assessment report of each student can be viewed online on our webite , WWW.NISE.IN with the help of the username and password provided to each parent. NION - the online observation system enables parents to view the assessment of their wards from home.

    • Our teachers are chosen based on their qualification, experience, and their ability to teach differently. Each faculty at NISE are trained to be active agents of change and growth, and to evolve as "philosopher, friend and guide" in an empowered atmosphere of creativity, caring and challenge.
  • 15. How is the Academic quality improvised?
    • We work with an Academic Quality Management System (AQMS) to assess efficiency of our faculties. They are trained by educational experts every term.

      Teachers undergo regular and rigorous training in pedagogical methodology, pastoral care and their specific subject areas. Ongoing training in both personal and professional areas ensures that faculty is motivated and up-to-date with the curriculum and prepares them for the next academic year.
  • 16. What are the other facilities ?
    • Snack and lunch is provided in the school itself. A nutritious balanced lunch menu is a part of NISE facility.
  • 17. Can the parents meet the teacher in case of any clarifications or know about the Child's progress?
    • We believe in being child & parent centric, open, approachable & transparent learning environment. Parent teacher conference is held every Wednesday between 3.30 and 4.30pm on prior appointment.
  • 18. How can the students and parents contact the head of the institution or the faculties?
    • Students will always have access to teachers and the Head of School in an open atmosphere that puts a child's needs first. Parents may contact the Head of School via email and meet them by prior appointment.
